Lando Norris secured pole position for the Formula 1 Austrian Grand Prix with an impressive opening Q3 lap of 1m04.268s, which was fast enough on its own. Charles Leclerc could not improve on his earlier 1m04.492s, and Oscar Piastri had to abort his second lap due to a yellow flag.
