Appeals court pauses an order that had protected status for Nepalese, Hondurans and Nicaraguans.
A U.S. appeals court has halted a lower court’s order that maintained Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 60,000 migrants from Honduras, Nicaragua, and Nepal, siding with the Trump administration. This decision allows the administration to move forward with potential removals of approximately 7,000 Nepalese individuals and jeopardizes the status of 51,000 Hondurans and 3,000 Nicaraguans set to expire soon.
