Negotiations fail to yield progress, while Moscow launches over 700 drones and missiles across Ukrainian territory
U.S.-Ukrainian negotiations ended without a breakthrough as Russia launched a major aerial assault, deploying over 700 drones and missiles targeting Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure. President Zelenskyy described the talks as “substantive” but emphasized that progress depends on Russia’s commitment to peace. The attacks caused injuries and temporarily disrupted power to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant, raising safety concerns. Meanwhile, battlefield dynamics favor Russia, with significant territorial gains and ongoing military operations in Ukraine.
