Zelensky cracks under Trump pressure after US president axes aid to Ukraine

Volodymyr Zelensky has bowed to pressure from Donald Trump after the US suspended military aid to Ukraine, leading to a shortage of long-range defence missiles. Zelensky called their meeting “regrettable” and vowed to enter peace talks to salvage the situation. He also proposed a peace plan, including releasing prisoners and banning missiles and drones, while offering US access to Ukraine’s mineral wealth in exchange for aid.
