Ukraine has agreed to an immediate 30-day ceasefire brokered by the United States, contingent on Russia’s acceptance, which includes the resumption of security assistance and intelligence sharing by the U.S. The agreement was reached after lengthy negotiations in Jedda, Saudi Arabia, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and aims to stop all hostilities along the entire front line, including the Black Sea. Both American and Ukrainian leaders have expressed readiness to finalize a comprehensive deal for the development of Ukraine’s critical mineral resources, pending Russia’s agreement to the ceasefire.
