The captain of the Solong cargo ship has been arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter after colliding with the Stena Immaculate oil tanker in the North Sea. A crew member from the Solong is missing and presumed dead, with both ships expected to remain afloat. Investigations are underway by Humberside Police, the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, and the Marine Accident Investigation Branch to determine the cause of the collision.
