Apple TV+ has announced the upcoming sci-fi comedy thriller series Murderbot, starring Alexander Skarsgård as an awkward security robot on a quest for the meaning of life. Based on Martha Wells’ award-winning book series, The Murderbot Diaries, the show follows Murderbot as it navigates human emotion while completing a dangerous assignment. Created by Chris and Paul Weitz, the ensemble cast includes Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, and Sabrina Wu, with production by Paramount Television Studios and David S. Goyer as an executive producer.
