Toronto man pleads guilty to boat theft

A Toronto man, Mohammad Yazed Saleh, 31, pleaded guilty to theft and possession of stolen property after driving a stolen Ford F-150 to a yacht club and taking a fishing boat into the Atlantic Ocean. He was found drifting 300 kilometers east of Nova Scotia five days later. Saleh has been jailed since September 30, 2025, with a proposed sentence of eight months or time served. Additional charges have been dropped as part of a plea deal, and a pre-sentence report is pending.
