The suddenly hot Bluesky says it won’t train AI on your posts

Bluesky, a social platform that has seen a surge in popularity following the US election, announced that it will not train on user posts for generative AI, in contrast to X and Meta’s Threads. The platform uses AI for content moderation and its Discover feed, but stresses that these are not Gen AI systems trained on user content. Despite being the underdog, Bluesky has gained momentum, reaching 15 million users and experiencing a rise in activity after the election, as X saw a spike in deactivations.
