A man from Manchester has been given the longest prison sentence in connection with violent rioting in Southport after the deaths of three young girls. Sean Beech, 55, was jailed for four-and-a-half years for breaking a police officer’s nose during the disorder. This brings the total number of arrests to 151, with 82 people sentenced to a total of 172 years in prison.
