Homes evacuated after huge lorry fire breaks out

Homes have been evacuated after a large lorry fire broke out on an industrial estate near Wythenshawe hospital, with 10 fire engines on scene. Residents were advised to keep windows and doors closed and avoid the area, as the fire involved heavy goods vehicles and caused loud noises resembling explosions. Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service were also present, with several nearby properties evacuated and roads closed as firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.
