Apple is transitioning to its own in-house Wi-Fi / Bluetooth chips starting with the iPhone 17 in the second half of next year, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. The iPhone SE 4, set for spring 2025, will be the first to feature Apple’s homemade 5G modem, while continuing to use a third-party Wi-Fi chip. The budget-friendly iPhone SE series is rumored to receive upgrades such as an OLED screen, Face ID, Apple Intelligence support, and potentially a higher price tag.
