Microsoft plans to bring Xbox age verification to countries outside of the UK

Microsoft is launching an age verification system for Xbox accounts in the UK to comply with the Online Safety Act, with plans to expand this system to other countries. Players over 18 will be encouraged to verify their age, which will become mandatory by early 2026 for full access to social features, while concerns about privacy and security implications of such systems persist.
