The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a warning to owners of almost 700,000 Tesla vehicles about a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system warning light not staying illuminated between drives, affecting models such as the 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. Tesla plans to send out an over-the-road update to address this issue, with owner notification letters expected to be mailed on Feb. 15, 2025. The past year has seen multiple Tesla recalls and over-the-air updates, including seven recalls for the Cybertruck and a previous update in June for 1.8 million vehicles to fix loose hoods.
