Tata Electronics to hire 20K more employees at Hosur unit: Chandrasekaran | Company News

In the last three years, Tata Group has invested in three major manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu, including Tata Power, Tata Electronics, and Tata Motors, with a total investment of Rs 9,000 crore. N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, announced that Tata Electronics is set to hire over 20,000 employees at its new iPhone assembly plant in Hosur, doubling the workforce to 40,000, and Tata Motors and JLR are establishing a new modern manufacturing unit in Panapakkam that will create 5,000 direct jobs and foster an entire ecosystem in the region. Additionally, Tata Group has invested Rs 2,200 crore in industrial training institutes in Tamil Nadu to skill the youth and support the growth of the manufacturing sector in the state.
