The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office has charged 53-year-old Coy Thomas in the stabbing murder of 93-year-old military veteran Lafayette Dailey, who was found dead in his home on December 5. Dailey had been brutally attacked with multiple stab wounds, and Thomas allegedly fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle, later attempting to use Dailey’s debit card. Authorities identified Thomas through surveillance footage and charged him with murder, robbery, and other crimes. A preliminary hearing is set for December 29, 2025.
