Biden condemned the attack, which aimed to disrupt access to heat and electricity for Ukrainians, and pledged to continue sending military assistance. The US has committed $61.4bn in security aid to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale war in 2022, with additional military aid packages sent in December.
