Death Valley National Park: Ancient Lake Reappears After Heavy Rain

An ancient lake has reemerged at Death Valley National Park after record rainfall, forming a small Lake Manly in Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America. During the Ice Ages, Lake Manly was once up to 700 feet deep, fed by rivers from the Sierra Nevada.
