Ex-Olympic Snowboarder Charged with Witness Tampering in Drug Case

The Justice Department has unveiled new charges against former Canadian Olympian snowboarder Ryan Wedding, accused of being Canada’s largest cocaine distributor and the leader of a transnational criminal enterprise. Wedding allegedly ordered the murder of a witness set to testify against him in a U.S. drug trafficking trial, resulting in the victim’s assassination in Colombia. He is on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list, and a $15 million reward is offered for information leading to his arrest. Wedding, who has evaded capture for years, is linked to the Sinaloa Cartel and is described as extremely dangerous and violent.
