On September 24, a San Francisco Muni train experienced chaotic jolts as the operator allegedly fell asleep, causing passengers to scream and be thrown from their seats. The train was traveling at an excessive speed of 50 mph when it exited the Sunset Tunnel, far exceeding the typical 8-10 mph.
