Supreme Court to Review Deportation Protections for Syrians and Haitians

The Supreme Court will review the Trump administration’s attempt to end Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for immigrants from Syria and Haiti but has temporarily blocked the administration from terminating these protections. The court is set to hear arguments on the matter in late April, while also considering a separate case regarding birthright citizenship. The Trump administration has already lifted TPS for over 300,000 Venezuelans and plans to terminate protections for several other countries.
