SpaceX’s Starship cleared to return to flight with expanded ‘hazard areas’

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has authorized SpaceX to conduct the ninth test flight of its Starship rocket system, despite previous back-to-back explosions this year. The FAA announced the decision on Thursday, stating it is “expanding the size of hazard areas both in the U.S. and other countries” for the upcoming flight, based on an updated safety analysis provided by SpaceX. This clearance marks a significant step forward for SpaceX as it continues to test and develop its rocket technology under revised safety guidelines.
