Son of Norway’s crown princess released after a week in custody over rape allegations

Marius Borg Høiby, son of Norwegian Crown Princess Mette-Marit, was released from custody after being arrested on rape allegations, which he denied. The preliminary charge was for sexual intercourse with someone unable to resist, but police decided not to seek further detention due to lack of evidence tampering risk. The royal palace has not commented on the allegations against Høiby, who lives with his mother, stepfather Crown Prince Haakon, and their two children.
