A civil lawsuit has been filed against retired NFL player Shannon Sharpe by a woman identified as Jane Doe, alleging rape and threats during a tumultuous consensual relationship, seeking $50 million in damages. The suit, filed in Clark County, Nevada, claims Sharpe used physical force, inflicted emotional distress, and exhibited a pattern of intimidation, including threats to choke and slap the plaintiff. Sharpe’s lawyer responded, asserting that the relationship was consensual and denouncing the lawsuit as a “blatant and cynical attempt” to extort money, filled with “lies, distortions, and misrepresentations.”
