Seven Iranians among eight arrested in UK counterterrorism probes

On Sunday, British police arrested eight individuals, including seven Iranian nationals, in two separate counterterrorism operations. Five men, four of whom are Iranian, were detained in London, Swindon, and Greater Manchester on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act, while three other Iranian men were arrested in London under the National Security Act for state threats. Interior minister Yvette Cooper emphasized the seriousness of these events and the need for ongoing adaptations to national security measures, particularly amid heightened concerns regarding Iranian activities in the UK.
