Seven dead in train crash after ‘explosions’ destroy bridges on Ukraine border

Seven people have died and dozens more have been injured after explosions caused the collapse of two bridges in Russia, one of which fell onto a passenger train in the Bryansk region. The Bryansk governor reported that the bridge was ‘blown up’ before the train derailed, resulting in 69 injuries, including three children. Russia’s Investigative Committee attributed the incidents to explosions, with a Kremlin politician accusing Ukraine of terrorism amid ongoing sabotage attacks against Russian infrastructure since the invasion began in 2022.
