Scots dad fighting for life after Rome B&B explosion has surgery to remove debris from body

Grant Paterson, from East Kilbride, is in critical condition after a suspected gas blast at his B&B in Rome. He underwent major surgery to remove debris from his body and remains on life support with 75% burns. A fundraiser has been launched to support his daughter who is by his side, as friends and colleagues send well wishes and support.
