Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted paedophile, showed interest in the highly toxic Angel’s Trumpet plant, known for its scopolamine content, which can incapacitate victims. Recent emails released from Epstein’s files indicate he was aware of the plant’s dangerous properties and its abuse as a date-rape drug. The plant, native to South America, has a history of causing severe poisoning. Epstein was found dead in his prison cell in 2019 while awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.
