Saudi Arabia to Partner With UFC Owner TKO to Create Boxing League

In the wake of Donald J. Trump’s reelection, he made a high-profile appearance at an Ultimate Fighting Championship event at Madison Square Garden, sitting alongside Elon Musk and Yasir al-Rumayyan, the governor of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund. The fund, through its subsidiary Sela, is close to creating a boxing league with TKO, majority controlled by Endeavor, with TKO to receive an equity stake and a share of revenue. Saudi Arabia’s involvement in boxing has grown, with plans for a new league featuring major fights and tournaments, backed by significant hosting fees and management fees for TKO.
