Santa’s sleigh has been approved for travel in Canadian airspace by Minister of Transport Anita Anand after reviewing Santa’s flight plan and meeting with him. Canadians can track Santa on the Norad website on Dec. 24, continuing a 69-year tradition where millions follow online and thousands call to inquire about his location. The Norad tradition began during the Cold War when a child accidentally called the Continental Air Defense Command, now Norad, sparking the annual tracking of Santa and his reindeer.
