Samsung Galaxy S24 FE may make its debut this year, according to a recent leak. Samsung took an unconventional approach by skipping a model and launching the Galaxy S23 FE as the successor to the Galaxy S21 FE. However, details about the upcoming FE lineup have surfaced, hinting at a potential launch. It remains unclear whether the smartphone will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event in July alongside the new foldables or in October, following the release timeline of its predecessor.
A tipster on X (formerly Twitter) with the username @OreXda has shared some key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE. While information is limited at this stage, the leak suggests some interesting changes to the upcoming device. One notable change could be the display size, with rumors pointing to a 6.1-inch AMOLED screen, potentially making the phone smaller compared to its predecessor’s 6.4-inch display.
Additionally, the smartphone is rumored to be powered by the Exynos 2400 SoC and may also feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, although with some limitations. The tipster mentioned, “But i think this FE will use only Exynos for globally,” indicating that the Indian variant might not receive the Qualcomm processor. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is expected to come with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and two storage options of 128GB and 256GB UFS 3.1. Furthermore, the device is said to house a 4,500mAh battery, similar to its predecessor, with no details provided on the camera setup, design, or color choices.
The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE was launched in October 2023, featuring a 6.4-inch Dynamic full-HD+ AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. In India, it was powered by the Exynos 2200 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage.
The triple rear camera setup of the Galaxy S23 FE includes a 50-megapixel sensor with OIS, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, there is a 10-megapixel selfie camera housed in a center-aligned hole-punch cutout. The device is supported by a 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired charging.
