At least 12 mine workers were killed and seven injured in a Russian drone strike targeting a bus in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, according to Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal. The attack in Ternivka was described as a “cynical and targeted” act against energy sector workers, with the victims being employees of energy firm DTEK. This incident follows other strikes in Zaporizhzhia, as tensions remain high amid ongoing negotiations for a potential ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. The second round of trilateral talks is set to take place in Abu Dhabi this week.
