Russia has warned of upcoming “systematic strikes” on defence industrial facilities in Kyiv in response to a Ukrainian drone attack in Luhansk. The attack in Luhansk killed at least 18 people and injured 42. Moscow plans to target specific sites in Kyiv where drones are designed and manufactured. Foreign citizens are urged to leave the city, and residents are warned to stay away from military and administrative infrastructure.

Why It Matters

The escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine has led to increased drone warfare capabilities and deadly attacks. The recent strike in Luhansk has prompted Russia to announce systematic strikes on Kyiv, raising concerns about further violence and civilian casualties. The situation highlights the ongoing tension between the two countries and the potential for further destabilization in the region.
