The Kremlin stated it would not disclose details of ceasefire talks with the U.S., while Ukrainian diplomats met American counterparts for further discussions. Russian and U.S. officials were expected to release a joint statement after talks in Saudi Arabia, focusing on a maritime ceasefire deal covering the Black Sea. Ukraine agreed to a 30-day ceasefire deal and accused Russia of being “manipulative” by delaying a truce, with Kyiv stressing the involvement of European allies in any future peace deal.
