Senators Seek Answers in Renee Good’s Death After Minneapolis Shooting

Amid controversy over the Trump administration’s handling of investigations into the shooting deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good in Minnesota, Senate Democrats are urging the Justice Department to open a civil rights probe into Good’s death. Good was shot by an ICE agent while in her car, leading to public protests and resignations among Justice Department attorneys opposing the administration’s focus on investigating Good’s wife instead. Critics argue that this reflects a pattern of political interference undermining public trust and accountability in law enforcement. The Justice Department has not yet responded to requests for comment regarding these issues.
