Mbappe Excluded from Spanish Super Cup Match Against Atletico

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe will miss the Saudi Arabia-hosted Spanish Super Cup due to a knee injury, sidelining him for at least three weeks. The team did not include him in their squad for the semifinals against Atletico Madrid. Following a strong performance last season, Mbappe equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 59 goals in a calendar year for the club. Meanwhile, coach Xabi Alonso faces pressure as the team trails Barcelona in La Liga.
