Saskatchewan RCMP utilized a drone to rescue two individuals lost in a forest after fleeing from a man with a gun during an assault on January 7. The drone’s thermal imaging helped locate the man, who was then guided out using verbal instructions and a spotlight. Ground searches led to the woman’s recovery in an SUV, and both were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. An arrest warrant has been issued for 30-year-old Justin Charles, charged with multiple offenses, including assault and firearm-related crimes.
