Prison officer ‘had relationship with 17-year-old young offender inmate’

Ruta Indrasiunaite, a 38-year-old former prison officer from Mitcham, is accused of having a relationship with 17-year-old inmate Royston Perry at HMP Cookham Wood and smuggling cannabis into the facility between April and November 2021. Both have been charged with misconduct and drug-related offenses, with their preliminary hearings scheduled for August 29.
