Rebecca Pinckard, a 46-year-old former prison officer at HMP Highpoint, has been charged with wilful misconduct in public office for allegedly performing oral sex on an inmate and engaging in a relationship with him between April 9 and July 6, 2024. After being granted unconditional bail, she appeared in court wearing glasses and a remembrance poppy. Her case has been transferred to the Crown Court, where she is scheduled to appear on December 3 for a plea and trial preparation hearing. The investigation was initiated by the Eastern Region Special Operations Unit after allegations of the inappropriate relationship surfaced.
