SINGAPORE: Koh Kian Tiong, a former Assistant Superintendent with the Singapore Police Force, pleaded guilty to multiple charges of corruption, including providing illegal gambling operator Chua Chin Hoe with police operation tip-offs in exchange for money and entertainment. Koh, who incurred debts due to personal issues, was cultivated by Chua, receiving S$47,700 in gratification over time. He fled to China for over 16 years after learning about investigations into his crimes, returning only after committing offenses there.
