A 13-year-old girl is fighting for her life in a Quebec hospital after a tragic chairlift accident during a school trip at Centre Vorlage ski hill. Her clothing became entangled as she dismounted, causing her to hang from the chairlift while adults attempted a rescue, ultimately bringing her back down where she was unresponsive. CPR was performed, and she was taken to hospital, then transferred to CHEO in Ottawa. The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is providing support to those affected, while police and the Régie du bâtiment du Québec are investigating the incident for any mechanical issues.
