Pedestrian hit by vehicle dies on busy NSW motorway

A tragic accident occurred on a busy motorway in Sydney’s south resulting in the death of a pedestrian.

At approximately 7.20am on Sunday, the man was struck by a vehicle on the Hume Motorway at Woodbine, near Campbelltown, according to NSW Police.

Despite paramedics’ efforts to treat the man at the scene, he unfortunately passed away before being transported to a hospital.

The man’s identity has not yet been disclosed.

A 48-year-old woman who was reportedly driving the vehicle involved in the incident escaped unhurt.

She was taken to Campbelltown Hospital for mandatory testing following the accident.

Authorities have cordoned off the motorway as a crime scene and are currently conducting an investigation into the tragic occurrence.
