Peace meeting held in Nagamangala; immersion of Ganesha idols to resume today

A majority of business establishments in Nagamangala, Mandya district, remained closed due to ongoing prohibitory orders following a communal flareup during a Ganesha idol immersion procession. The district administration has decided to resume idol immersion from Sunday after a peace meeting was held, allowing the area to slowly return to normalcy. The politically-active district is taking steps to ensure the safety of its residents and maintain peace amid recent tensions.
