Eileen Gu defended her Olympic ski halfpipe title in Livigno, Italy, marking her sixth medal in six events throughout her Winter Games career. The 22-year-old, who represents China despite being American-born, is the most decorated freeskier in Olympic history, having won two silver medals at the Milan Cortina Games, alongside two golds and a silver from the Beijing Games. Gu secured victory with a score of 94.75 after an impressive final run, with teammate Li Fanghui earning silver and Britain’s Zoe Atkin taking bronze. The event was rescheduled due to a significant snowstorm.
