Students Protest Against Iranian Regime at Major Universities

Despite the Iranian regime’s harsh measures to suppress dissent, students at Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran protested, blocking a street and chanting, “Don’t be afraid, we are all together.” Similar demonstrations occurred at Sharif University, with chants of “Death to Khamenei,” and at the Medical University in Mashhad, where protesters shouted “Freedom.” President Trump remarked on the situation, suggesting that the Iranian people deserve better leadership, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi contested claims of high death tolls during protests. Reports indicated that as many as 36,000 people may have died in the crackdown, with over 50,000 arrests.
