Sonya Smith, a resident of Nuhaka, won a Lamborghini Urus valued at $340,000 in a raffle for the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust. Initially thinking the call was a survey, she was surprised when shown the car on video by the organizers. Smith had purchased a $100 ticket as part of a sold-out raffle of 15,000 tickets drawn on December 22. A long-time supporter of rescue helicopter trusts, she previously worked on funding for helipad upgrades along the East Coast.
