Taranaki Man Sentenced for Assaulting Pregnant Partner

A man, deemed a danger to his family, physically assaulted his heavily pregnant partner by punching her in the stomach and threatening to kill her and their children, who witnessed the violence. The children reported to police, stating, “Daddy was hurting Mummy.” The incident occurred during an argument when the woman asked the man to leave their home in Taranaki. Authorities arrived while the man was still yelling at his partner.
