Opinion: Let’s call tariffs what they are: A tax hike on Americans

In a recent development, Congress has granted the president the authority to impose new taxes, specifically in the case of President Donald Trump’s new tariffs. While the U.S. Constitution gives Congress the power to regulate commerce and set tariffs, it has delegated these powers to the president, who can now make decisions regarding trade barriers.
