Greenland premier states territory is not for sale to the US

Greenland’s Prime Minister Jens-Frederik Nielsen reaffirmed that the territory is “not for sale” during a meeting with US special envoy Jeff Landry, who was appointed by former President Donald Trump to explore purchasing the island. Nielsen described the discussions as “constructive” but noted that the US position had not changed. He emphasized Greenlandic self-determination and stated that efforts are ongoing to find a mutually acceptable solution, amid concerns over US security claims regarding potential threats from Russia and China.
