NFL fines Chiefs, TE Peyton Hendershot for Week 1 sideline shove of Ravens’ Roquan Smith

The Kansas City Chiefs and tight end Peyton Hendershot were fined by the NFL for a sideline shove that upset Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith during their Week 1 game. The Chiefs were penalized $100,000 and Hendershot $5,472 for the incident in the fourth quarter of the Chiefs’ 27-20 win. The shove occurred as quarterback Patrick Mahomes was pushed to the ground by Smith while out of bounds, but no penalty was called.
